CFP: American Society for Legal History

The call for papers is out for the 2016 meeting of the ASLH. It is being held in Toronto this year, and hosted by friends of the ANZLHS Jim Phillips and Phillip Girard. Although we did not send an official panel last year, we did have a panel of members: Amanda Nettelbeck, Alecia Simmonds, Diane Kirkby and Shaunnagh Dorsett. It was a very good conference and Amanda, Diane and I are intending to put in another panel proposal this year. It would be good to see more ANZ representation.

The date deadline for proposals is 15 March. While you can put up individual proposals, they really prefer panels with commentator and chair. Individual proposals rarely get accepted. Please note that this is not a swop year for the ANZLHS/ASLH.

About anzlhswebsite

The Australian and New Zealand Law and History Society was formed in 1993. It is an interdisciplinary group of scholars who share an interest in the connections between law and history. The society grew out of the annual Law in History Conferences, which have been running since 1982. Members of the society include historians, lawyers, academics and others interested in the area. Most of the members live in Australia or New Zealand, but their areas of interest are not confined to the law in those places. The society is an incorporated association in New South Wales.
